Structural Engineer

This is a unique opportunity to join a leading British manufacturer in the newly created role of Structural Engineer. Joining the senior Engineering team, you will oversee the structural needs of this business as their 4 factories (all in East Anglia) continue to improve and require development. Ideally you will be a Chartered Structural Engineer who can add the technical expertise that the business has gone externally for historically. You will work closely with site teams across the region to ensure structural integrity of their assets, some of which are over 100 years old. You will be the business's trusted expert on all civil engineering works and oversee capital projects.

Key duties:
Hold external engineering resources to account for delivering to required standards for structural engineering on maintenance engineering/capital investments.
Support the civil engineering delivery across multiple areas working with site based engineers and external engineering resources
Explore that all possible options for aspects of a structural repair/improvement are rigorously analysed, such that the alternatives are well understood
Develop and manage a robust project schedule for work packages based on the required engineering process
Ensure that an appropriate risk management process is applied to works to ensure that foreseeable significant risks are identified and managed
