Now working in the latest Asset Management Period, known as AMP 7, we are working towards delivering an approximate £1.3bn programme of work until 2025. Are you ready to join us as we aim to deliver the most exciting and innovative AMP we have ever seen?

With a large ramp-up of work in front of us, we have a host of engineering projects which require our Delivery team to provide enthusiasm and innovation to deliver engineering excellence. What you will be doing as our new Lead Civil Engineer?

As our new Lead Civil Engineer, you'll provide design support for numerous non-infrastructure schemes and ensure all designs are fit for purpose and meet current legislation and standards. You'll be responsible for the checking and reviewing of civil design deliverables produced by other civil engineers in the @one Alliance to ensure the processes and procedures are followed as well as coaching and mentoring junior engineers irrespective of partner company.

Collaborating with key stakeholders and assisting the multi-disciplinary project teams to ensure the project solution is providing the best value for business through being fit for purpose and completed on time, to budget, and to the correct quality. You'll also collaborate with other stakeholders throughout the business to drive continuous developments in engineering, design, and innovation. In addition, you'll be responsible for delivering your own projects as a civil engineer.

* Liaise with other departments and project teams with respect to design requirements and ensure own project workload is completed to the correct standards and specifications.

* Work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary project team. Whilst working across the Alliance project areas and Pan-Alliance to set technical common standards and processes.

To join us on the team, you'll hold a degree in Civil or be able to demonstrate a degree level of knowledge through relevant experience. Ideally, you'd be a chartered engineer by a relevant chartership body (e.g., ICE) but this is not essential, more importantly, you can demonstrate a level of competence in practical civil engineering design experience in the water/wastewater industry environment.

You'll have a proven track record in design and integration of civil process systems, and equipment, and have some experience in the Mentoring and coaching of junior engineers. You'll have the ability to work with people from different partner company backgrounds and disciplines and utilise their knowledge and experience - implement tried and tested ways of working. Whilst adding to this with own experience and know-how
