Job description
Our client Irrigonics Ltd is an award winning national water hygiene solutions provider and they are now looking to grow their expanding team and have an urgent requirement in the East Midlands area
They are looking for a multi-skilled and self-motivated experienced Water Hygiene Engineer ideally with some basic plumbing experience to join their growing team. The successful candidate will come from a plumbing or water hygiene background with knowledge and experience in delivering legionella compliance tasks to a variety of site bases.
Experience:The applicant must have good people skills and a reasonable level of education, ideally city and guilds qualification and technical background and must have a good understanding of ACOP L8 guidelines, although additional training will be given to all successful candidates.
The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of hands-on experience delivering water hygiene duties to a variety of sites
Desirable
Duties & Responsibilities:
The successful applicant will be flexible as this position involves some overnight stays although notice will be given.
The candidate must be reliable, have the ability to work independently and as part of a team, occasionally under pressure.
You must be prepared to travel and stay away from home when required
Must pass a DBS enhanced clearance
Must hold a Full Clean Driving License

- City & Guilds Thermostat and Mixing Valves certification
- Hot Water Systems - G3 Unvented Certificate
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Water sample collection
- Temperature monitoring of hot and cold domestic water systems
- Disinfection and Descale of showerheads and hoses
- Water tank inspection and clean and disinfection
- TMV servicing and part replacement (training will be provided to city and guilds)
- checking and monitoring chemical dosing systems
- Producing accurate reports and maintaining paperwork
- Building and maintaining a good rapport with the clients
- Have good communication skills, both written and verbal
- Be proficient in using IT packages (training will be provided on our inhouse system)
- Administrative duties which will include the use of a phone/tablet to log your work tasks
- Chemical Dosing monitoring
- Expansion Vessel Flushing
