Senior Geo-Environmental Engineer

Requirements:

* Degree in relevant subject
* 5-10 years experience in the investigation of former industrial and brownfield sites
* Be confidence with, and have a sound appreciation of, both the technical and legislative issues in the industry
* Possess a sound appreciation of remediation technologies and techniques
* Experience and sound ability in contract administration, client liaison and business acumen

Responsibilities:

* Preparation of meaningful and targeted Phase I studies both within and outside of the planning context
* Design and implementation of Phase II investigations again both within and outside of the planning context where a sound appreciation of industrial and geo- chemistry will be expected to influence the design
* Preparation of Detailed Remediation Method Statements and Verification Plans based on a sound technical understanding of the risk issues from the full range of potential receptors from contamination in and from soils and groundwater, also to include ground gas and organic vapour
* Preparation of waste characterisation statements and Site Waste Management Plans
* Technical coaching of staff and management of project related work by junior engineers
* Assistance with any other aspect of the company's business of a reasonable nature as and when called upon
