Civil Engineer

NES Fircroft is currently looking to recruit a Civil Engineer on a contract basis on behalf of their client based in Teesside.

Duration 6 months initially Ltd Co (Outside IR35).

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF ROLE
To work with the design team, responsible for the production of technical documentation to high professional standards within challenging programmes and budgetsKEY TASKS AND MAIN DUTIES
Prepare and/or check design calculations
Check drawings/specifications for compliance with calculations
Prepare Technical Specifications/Reports/Scopes of Work
Prepare Technical Analysis of proposals provided by equipment manufacturers and contractors
Co-ordinate/liaise with other Engineering disciplines
Interpret Vendor drawings/information
Work to design budgets and programmes
Comply with Company Quality Management Systems
Other professional duties reasonably requiredESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
University degree minimum
Additional equivalent Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status preferredESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE
Background in Heavy Engineering/Chemical/Petrochemical Industries preferred in relation to reinforced concrete foundations, sub-structures, aqueous retaining structures and general infrastructure works(roads, hard standings and drainage schemes)ESSENTIAL SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE
English Language - written, spoken and technical
Specification/report writing (preferred but not essential)
Awareness of and compliance with Quality Management System procedures and requirements.
Ability to design/work to Eurocodes British Standards and Codes of PracticeESSENTIAL SOFTWARE KNOWLEDGE
IT literate
Design/analysis software usage (preferably ROBOT & TEDDS but not essential)
