A professional & globally renown Civil Engineering consultancy, leaders in site investigation surveys for Civil Infrastructure, Construction, Energy, Marine & Rail sectors. A highly esteemed business with a great reputation within their specialist fields, which has seen an expansion of projects leading to the need to take on several Engineers & Managers of various calibres currently.

With a solid reputation and firmly established land characterisation division, the business is seeking an experienced Project Manager to support their growing portfolio of site Investigation / ground risk management projects across the UK, responsible for managing project through inception to final delivery, including: planning, technical support, staff management, reporting & delivery of a high-profile portfolio of work.

Responsibilities:
  • Act as principal point of contact for the client gaining a thorough understanding of project scope & required internal business objectives, managing entire project from assignment to invoice.
  • Hands-on Project Management including occasional visits on-site to support coordination of technical project elements.
  • Manage entire multi-functional team of team leaders, engineers, technicians, lab staff.
  • Providing essential support & training to internal as identified per project requirements, in addition to building up strong HSSE practices.
  • Understanding of commercial & financial elements within the project, ensuring timely delivery on budget, liaising with Project Controller.
  • Manage lab testing activity and timelines, liaising with Laboratory Manager.
  • Review of factual & interpretive reports, liaising with Principal Engineer on-site.
  • Hold regular meetings of all site personnel ensuring collaboration & focused progression on activity. Ensure junior staff are receiving required support.
