District Engineer

The Fremont Sanitation District (FSD) is seeking qualified candidates for the position of District Engineer or Engineering Manager.

This position will be filled at the District Engineer or Engineering Manager level. The level of the selected candidate will be dependent on the qualifications, experience, education, and licensure/certification level of the successful candidate.

Successful District Engineer candidates will possess the following qualifications:

REQUIRED EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum of a Bachelor of Science Degree in civil, environmental or similar engineering discipline.  Minimum of five (5) years of progressive, professional experience in surveying and civil engineering design. Minimum of three (3) years of progressive, professional experience in wastewater or water system design. Minimum of five (5) years of supervisory or management experience.

REQUIRED LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION:

• Current, valid licensure as a Professional Engineer (P.E.) from the Colorado State Board of Licensure for Architects, Professional Engineers and Professional Land Surveyors, and A current valid State of Colorado “R” Driver’s License or obtain within thirty (30) days of employment.

Compensation: The pay range for a District Engineer is $93,472 to $130,868 a year. 

Successful Engineering Manager candidates will possess the following qualifications:

REQUIRED EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum of a Bachelor of Science Degree in civil, environmental or similar engineering discipline.  Minimum of five (5) years of progressive, professional experience in surveying and civil engineering design. Minimum of three (3) years of supervisory or management experience.

REQUIRED LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION:

• Current enrollment as an Engineer Intern (EI) through the Colorado State Board of Licensure for Architects, Professional Engineers and Professional Land Surveyors, and A current valid State of Colorado “R” Driver’s License or obtain within thirty (30) days of employment.

Compensation: The pay range for an Engineering Manager is $80,744 to $113,048 a year.

Upon offer of employment, will be subject to a pre-employment background check, including employment references, criminal history, and driving record review.
