This is a fantastic opportunity for a Project Manager with ideally 10-15 years of experience to join an established Developer and work on a major development next to the Thames.

Overview of role:
For the organisation, control and development of a multi-million pound building project, the Project Manager reporting to the Senior Project Manager (Structural) will be responsible to ensure all aspects of the residential/commercial mix development progress smoothly and efficiently to produce good quality product with optimum profitability.
As a key member of the project team, the Project Manager also involves monitoring and controlling internal and external consultants, contractors and subcontractors.

Main duties:
  • Liaising with key Stakeholders - all the departments within the company, head office, group companies and external suppliers, consultants and contractors.
  • Working within reporting and project control policies and systems.
  • Objectives as outlined by your line manager.
  • Has a good understanding of both internal and external business needs and provides the best possible service to the company.
  • Has a good understanding of the commercial reality (internal and external).
  • Exercise shrewd business judgment on consultant advices, contractor requests and customer demands.
  • Exercise professional judgement to resolve development problems during planning, design, building regulations and construction.
  • Communicates information widely and actively, at all levels.
  • Actively listens and takes notice of the views of others.
  • Is able to communicate confidently regardless of the audience
  • Openly encourages the sharing of information, judging when, with whom, and what to communicate, whilst maintaining confidentiality.

Essential skills, attributes & qualifications:
  • Member of MICE, MIStructE, and CEng
  • Strong Structures experience with some Civils experience
  • Team player
  • Analytical/logical thinking
  • Willing to learn and able to retain knowledge

Desirable:
  • Previous experience of working for a property development company
  • Previous experience of working for an international company or other international experience
  • Ideally with large residential project experience; transferrable skills will also be of benefit
