My client who is a leader within the Water Industry has a key requirement for an Electrical Project Engineer to join their fast growing Yorkshire based team in Leeds.
As an electrical project manager, you'll be involved in projects from the concept and detail of the design, through to implementation, testing and handover. You may also work on maintenance programmes and also helping to grow the team.
Responsibilities
My client would be looking for a person who is best suited to the low voltage and control side of "electrical engineering" rather then purely power related (i.e. LV, MV and HV). The latter would not be a deal breaker but they would need an appreciation of the control side / willingness to develop their skills in this side of the field.
Tendering
Reviewing initial ideas and strategy from a client
Develop and engineer an outline design
Develop scope briefs and issue to subcontractors for costing
Costing analysis
Highlight and cost assess tender risks
Clarify and compile tender with other engineering disciplines
Project (Award)
Detail outline design with client
Complete all necessary surveys (part individually and part via specialists)
Power monitoring and assessment
PLC hardware and configuration
Existing power and control infrastructure development
Ducting and ladder/tray surveys
Impact outline design to findings of above surveys
Develop a preliminary design (SLD's, Network Architecture and PFD)
Develop a detailed scope of works
Issue to subcontractors and develop a cost analysis
Propose and awarded subcontracts
Project (Detailed Design and Delivery)
Develop a detailed design (SLD's, BCD's, Network Architecture and P&ID's)
Review of Subcontractors design
Compliance to clients and British standards
Ensure all stakeholders interfaces are defined and addressed
Input into master programme
Management of Subcontractors to ensure programme is maintained
Correspondence and assessment of any contractual items (EWN / CEN)
Budget Management of related discipline
Onsite design and delivery questions, plus updating of very "on the fly" designs
Project (Commissioning and Handover)
Onsite configuration of devices and testing
Instrument Test Record documentation
Wet testing and commissioning
Client approval and signoff
O&M's
Ideally you will have experience within the Water Industry, but this is not essential.
£40000 to £80000 DOE + package.
