Are you a Hydraulic Civil Engineer with experience in designing in-river civil engineering and hydraulic projects? We are seeking a talented individual who is passionate about making a positive impact on our aquatic environment and river habitats. At APEM, our engineering projects encompass the entire spectrum, starting from comprehensive site assessments and feasibility studies and extending to detailed designs. By joining our team, you''ll collaborate closely with our renowned aquatic and environmental scientists, embarking on challenging and fulfilling projects that make a significant impact on the aquatic environment and river habitats across the British Isles. As a Principal Engineer, you''ll bring your proven expertise in civil engineering and hydraulic design projects within the aquatic environment. With your deep understanding of the complexities and challenges associated with in-river schemes, you''ll confidently lead and execute projects at every stage, from initial option identification and appraisal to meticulous detailed design.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
  • Experience of working in a commercial consulting environment, including the engineering design of in-river projects.
  • Application of the CDM regulations including actively identifying and mitigating risks during design.
  • Ability to produce and review tenders/proposals that demonstrate cost-effective quality and expertise.
  • Hold a relevant BEng or MEng degree.
  • Hold chartered engineer status with ICE or CIWEM, or be working towards achieving this.
