RCT Council is once again preparing to recruit to its Graduate Programme that provides fantastic opportunities to work in a vibrant environment, learn new and transferable skills, meet people from a range of backgrounds and develop a professional career in Rhondda Cynon Taf. All Graduate Officers will be supported to complete either a Level 4 Project Management qualification or job-related technical training (all fully funded) as part of the programme.

Tips Safety Across RCT

The management of tips and tips safety is a substantial challenge in RCT, one that continues to grow in demand. The Tips Safety Team provides effective, efficient, responsive and high-quality services in respect of the management of tips whilst ensuring the Councils safety responsibilities as a landowner of a significant number of spoil tips are met.

Who Were Looking For

The Graduate Officer will be knowledgeable in subject area of geotechnical risks and assessments. You will be highly organised, able to work independently and show a passion for working in this field. You will also hold a full UK driving licence as driving to site including off-road terrain is essential for the position.

A minimum 2:2 degree with honours in a relevant subject such as Civil Engineering, Earth Science Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or Mining, or an equivalent international degree
