We are currently working with a global engineering and development consultancy seeking to recruit an Associate Civil Engineer (Infrastructure) with a proven track record for technical excellence. The Associate Civil Engineer will be required to supervise and manage the delivery of several projects for a diverse range of clients. You will combine managerial and technical responsibilities to promote a cooperative approach and inspire teams to deliver projects to quality, budget, and timescales. Although this role is based in London, you will be expected to collaborate with their wider business covering the south-east of England.

Responsibilities will include:

Managing the planning, design, and implementation of infrastructure projects.
Collating plans and schedules while monitoring work to meet deadlines, company quality assurance and other requirements.
Supporting and mentoring junior staff to develop the infrastructure team's skill & capability.
Liaising and engaging with clients and third parties as required.
Promoting adherence to Health & Safety policy and procedures.
Controlling project resources and monitoring against budget.
Developing and maintaining excellent client relationships.
Leading on bid proposals and submissions.
Active involvement in business development.
Line management for of staff.

Skills & Experience Required:

Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
Chartered (or Incorporated) Engineer.
Demonstrable record in providing technical leadership on highway and infrastructure projects.
Demonstrable record of successfully managing project teams and of planning and handling project programmes, budgets, and resources.
Proven ability of commercial and financial competency, including preparation of fee proposals.
Knowledge of IT and standard industry software skills, including knowledge of BIM.
Able to communicate confidently and professionally with colleagues, clients and other stakeholders at all levels (written and verbal).
Ability to demonstrate a professional approach and demeanour with a strong ethical approach to safety, quality, and environmental protection.
Problem solver, able to offer solutions to challenges.
