Structural Engineer - Rail

Structural Engineer- to join a small friendly Design office in Morley, Leeds. The company that the Structural Engineer will be working for primarily supply Civil and Structural Engineering solutions to the rail sector services from Measured Surveys, 3D Visualisation, Fabrication Drawings, Construction Drawings, Structural Calculations working to? BIM Level 2 Compliance.

Projects the Structural Engineer will be working on include and ranging from designs in pollution control, steel fabrication, and building renovation to structural concrete, feasibility studies, car parks and drainage, landscaping and petrol filling stations. The Ideal Structural Engineer will have a varied background in design of concrete and Steel and ideally experience having worked on rail projects.

Structural Engineer Position Overview

• Lead, manage and develop
• Production of technical details
• Production of structural calculation packages
• Production of bar bending schedules
• Conduct 3rd party checks on Category III designs
• Checking of design submissions
• Attend Client meetings
• Provide assistance to the Contractors Engineering Manager on rail projects
• Champion the in-house standards library specifications section
• KPI Reporting and Data collation

Structural Engineer Position Requirements

• Degree qualified within Structural Engineering
• Good knowledge of design in Concrete and Steel
• Computer literate and proficient with structural engineering packages
• Knowledgeable within current design, rail and British standards
• Experience working in Rail Projects
• Must be a hardworking individual who is willing to learn
• Should be able to focus on attention to detail

• Salary DOE
