Alecto Recruitment are currently seeking a Lead Civil and Structural Engineer for our Existing Client.

As a Principal Engineer, you will be responsible for leading and overseeing the design and construction of civil and structural engineering projects. You will provide technical expertise, manage a team of engineers, and ensure projects are executed efficiently, safely, and within budget.

Job Brief

During this role, you will have the following responsibilities;

Lead and manage civil and structural engineering projects from conception to completion, ensuring adherence to design specifications, budgetary constraints, and project timelines.
Provide high-level technical guidance and expertise in civil and structural engineering, including design, analysis, and construction methodologies. Review and approve engineering drawings, calculations, and specifications.
Supervise and mentor a team of engineers, providing guidance, support, and training as needed. Coordinate and assign tasks to team members, ensuring effective utilization of resources and timely project delivery.
Develop innovative and efficient designs for civil and structural engineering projects. Conduct structural analysis and review calculations to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Implement and maintain quality control processes to ensure the accuracy, integrity, and reliability of engineering deliverables. Conduct regular inspections and audits to verify compliance with design standards and project requirements.
Collaborate with clients, architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements, address technical concerns, and ensure client satisfaction. Participate in meetings, presentations, and negotiations as a technical representative.
Identify and mitigate potential risks and challenges associated with civil and structural engineering projects. Implement appropriate safety measures and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Stay updated with industry trends, advancements, and best practices in civil and structural engineering. Implement process improvements, adopt new technologies, and propose innovative solutions to enhance project efficiency and quality.
Monitor project budgets, track expenditures, and ensure cost-effective utilization of resources. Prepare and review project estimates, proposals, and contracts.Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
A minimum of 10 years of experience in civil and structural engineering, with a proven track record of managing and delivering complex projects. Experience in a leadership or managerial role is highly desirable.
Strong proficiency in structural analysis software, computer-aided design (CAD) tools, and other relevant engineering software. Comprehensive knowledge of industry codes, standards, and regulations.
Proven experience in project management, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation. Familiarity with project management software is a plus.Package Details

Salary will be around £65,000 Per Annum.
This role may warrant bonus dependant on performance.
Working hours will be Monday to Friday.The Person
