Responsibilities:
- Design, supervise, and manage ground investigations for Geo-environmental and/or technical assessments on a wide range of sites.
- Serve as a project manager in an environmental/engineering consultancy environment
- Engage in business development activities, including networking and building new relationships
- Ensure compliance with contaminated land and planning legislation in the UK
- Multitask, plan, and prioritise workload efficiently.
- Drive client satisfaction, motivating and engaging with colleagues and stakeholders
- Utilise computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Apply experience using Microsoft Project for project management purposes
Requirements:
- Strong practical experience in designing, supervising, and managing ground investigations
- Demonstrated project management skills in an environmental/engineering consultancy setting
- Ability to review and evaluate Geo-environmental reports prepared by junior team members.
- Proven ability to prepare tenders and fee proposals.
- Understanding of multi-disciplinary projects and related disciplines.
- Knowledge of contaminated land and planning legislation in the UK.
- Client-focused mindset with the ability to motivate and engage colleagues and stakeholders.
- Capability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Experience with Microsoft Project for project management is advantageous.
- Chartered Geologist, Scientist, or Engineer with a relevant professional body or working towards Chartered status.
- Typically requires at least 7-10 years of specific relevant experience in the field.
