We are recruiting for an Asset and Operations Manager to join our client to manage their operations, assets and maintenance within highways and civils.
As an Asset and Operations Manager, you will manage a team of 20+ people and you will take operational responsibility for all day-to-day maintenance and the management of the business assets in line with health and safety legislation.

Salary/Benefits
Circa £50K depending on relevant experience.
37.5 hours per week (some flexibility may be required.

The Role:
Ensure the safety and upkeep of the roads and to ensure that current legislation is adhered to.
Utilising in-house resources to ensure 24/7 maintenance and operation of the roads including implementation and management of an 'on-call service' for maintenance.
Deliver work packages to contractors and manage contractor workloads within budget.
Ensure the provision and delivery of an incident support service which includes specialist vehicles, personnel and must be operational 365 days a year.
To manage the business assets including, plant, vehicles and equipment to manage all business requirements. Ensure that all vehicles and equipment meet legislative requirements.
Recruit, manage and motivate a team of skilled operatives.
All other related duties as outlined in the job description. Required Skills and Experience:
Mechanical or civil engineering qualification.
Understanding of highway legal regulations.
Proven experience within a management position.
Budget management skills.
Previous operational experience within asset management and service delivery.
Advanced experience within maintenance within a large organisation, preferably within civils.
Adaptability
Able to collaborate and share ideas and solutions.
