An exciting opportunity to join an expanding company has arisen in Central Manchester and our client is looking for a motivated and results driven Assistant Estimator to join their Civil Engineering business.
Assistant or Graduate Cost Estimators / Engineers will also be considered.
This role primarily involves the preparation of independent cost, schedule and risk assessments for major highways, rail & utilities infrastructure projects as well as a range of data analysis and cost engineering services.
The role would suit someone who has hands-on experience of Estimating for construction projects or civil engineering site experience, who wants to further develop their expertise in cost estimating, scheduling and risk assessment. This role requires substantial contact with clients and design teams.
The role will involve engagement with clients and project teams working on some of the UK's biggest projects and a chance to grow with a family-owned and orientated SME. A relevant degree and/or strong practical site experience are desirable for this role along with:
Skills & experience:
Sound knowledge of civil engineering construction, with site experience
Strong numerical and data analysis skills
Commercial awareness
Preparation of reports
Accurate and consistent approach
Proven experience in the preparation of cost estimates from first principles
Good communication skills and the ability to engage with clients at all levels
Excellent Benefits which include car or car allowance
