The Zachry Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering College of Engineering at Texas A&M University Galveston invites applications for a full-time Academic Professional Track (Non-Tenure) open rank faculty position who will also serve as Director of the Environmental Engineering Program at Texas A&M University Galveston.  We are considering applicants at the lecturer, senior lecturer, principal lecturer, instructional assistant professor, instructional associate professor, instructional professor, associate professor of practice, professor of practice, and senior professor levels with teaching expertise in environmental engineering. This will be an 9-month academic appointment, and the possibility of an additional summer appointment contingent upon need and availability of funds, beginning August 1, 2023. The successful applicant will teach primarily at the undergraduate level and lead the development of the environmental engineering undergraduate program at Texas A&M University Galveston; mentor undergraduate students; participate in all aspects of the department's activities; assist in or lead ABET activities for the EVEN program; and serve the profession. The Zachry Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering at Texas A&M is proud to be among the top civil and environmental engineering programs in the country, ranked 8th in undergraduate programs and 9th in graduate programs at public institutions. The department currently has 49 tenured and tenure-track faculty and 23 academic professional track faculty members. Qualifications

For appointments at Associate Professor of the Practice or Professor of the Practice level, applicants must have, at the minimum, a master's level degree appropriate for the field in which the faculty member will teach and significant teaching experience at the college/school level in the field or in a related field, or have an extraordinary record of accomplishment in an applied setting. There may be additional requirements depending on the specific faculty title.

For appointments at LecturerSenior LecturerPrincipal Lecturer, Instructional Assistant ProfessorInstructional Associate Professor, or Instructional Professor level, applicants must have a masters and significant teaching experience at the college/school level in the field or in a related field or doctoral degree in a closely related engineering or science discipline.

For appointments at the Senior Professor level, applicants must have a doctoral degree in a closely related engineering or science discipline and have substantial experience in academia.
