PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR/ENGINEERING MANAGER

The City of Ketchikan is seeking a forward-thinking, dynamic and approachable leader to fill the position of Public Works Director/Engineering Manager. This position oversees the activities and operations of the Public Works Department including maintenance, repair, design and construction of streets, storm drainage, wastewater collection treatment and disposal systems; collection, treatment and disposal of solid waste. A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in civil engineering, construction, public administration or facility management is required, and ten years of extensive experience in public works development, professional engineering and maintenance activities. The ideal applicant will be hands-on and diplomatic with excellent customer service skills. Annual salary range is $112,686.36 - $151,772.16 DOQ, plus benefits which includes 3-weeks of vacation, 12 days of sick leave, 9 holidays and 4 open/floating holidays your first year with a relocation stipend available.
