The Opportunity

We are looking for a technically strong, proactive and driven senior civil engineer to join our team based in either Bristol or Winchester offices. The ability to challenge and bring new ideas to the way we work is expected along with excellent team working and collaboration skills.

We have an energetic and diverse civil engineering team always looking to enhance the environment and do the right thing. Sustainability and digital transformation is always front of mind, and we deliver this through an excellent variety of work across a number of sectors.

The Bristol team also works very closely with civil engineering teams from Cardiff and Winchester where resources, skills and opportunities are shared to reduce workload peaks and enhance our offering.

Is this role right for you?

As a minimum requirement we would expect that the suitable applicant to be working towards or has achieved a relevant professional qualification. Furthermore, you will possess a strong academic background ideally with MEng or Civil Engineering-based degree.

You will be able to demonstrate strong technical experience across most or all of the following: flood risk, drainage, sustainable drainage, earthworks, pavements, utilities, street design, constraints mapping and infrastructure master planning.

We are looking for the following skills and experience;
  • Planning and statutory approval process.
  • Commercial knowledge such as fee proposals and monitoring.
  • Workload planning.
  • Mentoring and teaching.
  • Ability to write high quality reports and specifications.
  • Some contract knowledge, NEC or similar.
