Civil Rail Design Engineer
£35,000 -£45,000 (depending on level of experience) + Annual Tax-Free BonusThe Role
My client is in search capable and self-motivated individual who are eager to join my client's thriving business and become a part of our future accomplishments. In this instance they are seeking a Civil Engineer who holds a degree qualification and has prior experience in the rail industry, particularly within a design consultancy setting. The role involves collaborating with civils teams and requires expertise in various areas, including:
- Foundation design
- Slope stability
- Retaining walls design
- Working platforms
- Design of formwork
- Culvert designs.
The ideal candidate must demonstrate a strong technical background and proficiency in using:
- Slope/W (or a similar tool)
- Strand 7.
Additionally, familiarity with Eurocodes, CDM regulations, and British Standards is essential.Responsibilities of The Role
Requirements of The Role
- Perform both conceptual and detailed design tasks.
- Respond promptly to evolving project needs.
- Effectively communicate ideas through clear and well-crafted drawings.
- Work efficiently to meet challenging time constraints.
- Conduct thorough technical reviews of designs.
- Degree qualified in civil engineering
- Working towards membership of ICE
- Clean driving licence.
