What Are We Looking For?

Owing to continued sustainable growth, our in-house Design team is looking for Structural Engineer to join the established team in Inverness. You will take on a fully supported leading role in all aspects of projects, from scoping and detailed design through to implementation, ensuring compliance with client specifications and current regulatory standards, with a strong focus on low-carbon solutions.

RSE is in an incredibly strong position in the marketplace and youll be given the opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects across the Water industry.

Some of Your Key Duties Include:
  • Liaise with Client and stakeholders across the business.
  • Produce preliminary and detailed designs.
  • Compile design specifications.
  • Compile reports and communicate design data to the client and others.
  • Comply with company quality assurance procedures.
  • Complete required deliverables within allocated project time scales.

What Do You Need?
  • Degree in Structural Engineering.
  • Experience of structural steelwork, connection design and detailing.
  • Working knowledge of design codes and standards relating to structural engineering such as British Standards and Eurocodes.
  • Analyses of structures for stress and deflection using both hand calculations and Finite Element Analysis.
  • Detailed working knowledge of software packages such as Revit, Advanced Steel, Inventor and RFM.
  • Good knowledge of IT packages and systems.
  • The ability to work under pressure quickly and accurately with attention to detail.
  • Good written and verbal communications skills.
