Heritage Structural Engineer

My client is looking for a structural engineer with a passion for heritage and conservation work and refurbishment projects to help with our expanding portfolio within the Heritage team.

My client has been involved with heritage and conservation projects since the practices formation in 1987. We currently employ 3 Conservation Accredited Engineers (CARE) who, together with the Partners and assisted by our engineers and technicians, lead our Heritage work. It is part of our ongoing business strategy to expand our services in this sector.

The successful candidate will be an experienced structural engineer (nearing Chartered status) with a very strong interest in heritage and conservation. The role requires excellent written and verbal communication skills, an ability to monitor and manage their workload and liaise with clients and contractors. Experience of heritage and conservation projects is essential along with good sketching abilities. The position offers excellent career opportunities within the practice and the wider conservation community. The candidate will be encouraged and supported to pursue Chartered status and eventual CARE accreditation. The role will be based at our Sevenoaks office although a proportion of time will be making site visits and inspections.
