Job Title: Principal Engineer - Safety & Environmental (Safety)Location: Filton, Bristol, Portsmouth, Frimley, Devonport, Brough, Manchester and Barrow-in-Furness.     Derive and manage Product Safety RequirementsDevelop, implement, and maintain the Safety Management SystemProduce and manage Project Safety Management PlansLead Product Safety hazard and risk identification, management, and assessment activitiesProvide Product Safety Engineering advice to the wider BAE Systems and MOD communitiesOversee the administration and management of Project Hazard LogsInfluence the construction and delivery of the Project Safety Case, including Safety Case ReportsSupport the production of training material to support training deliveryDeliver training to the Product Safety & Environmental domains and the wider BAE Systems communityLead engagement with internal and external customers, ensuring that their requirements are fully considered and adequately supported where appropriate and agreedProduce, present and articulate clear and logical technical safety argumentsComplete peer reviews, checking, verification and assurance tasks to demonstrate the adequacy and robustness of the Safety Case and supporting documentationOversee and peer review junior roles in the Product Safety TeamUnderstand the application of the wider Safety Case, Quality and HS and ESupport the appropriate meetings and working groupsChair hazard identification meetingsSupport the development of realistic programme status updates, identify problem areas and implement agreed recovery plansDevelop business footprint through business winningYour skills and experiences:Essential:
      Demonstrable engineering background - degree or equivalent experienceChartered engineer, or working towards chartershipLeading Hazard Identification activitiesDesirable:
