Access Talent Group has partnered with an, Structural and Geosciences consultancy to support their Geotechnical Engineering team expansion in Scotland. Our client has multiple office located across Northern and Western Europe, as well as Scandinavia. Due to continued success and new contracts being awarded in Australia, the UK and Europe, our client are looking to add a Senior or Principal Geotechnical Engineer to their Glasgow or Edinburgh office. Our client are niche specialists in transportation and infrastructure engineering, and uniquely offer the opportunity to work across projects across Europe, Antarctica and the Arctic circle, as well as the opportunity to travel to each of those locations. The successful candidate will be expected to hit the ground running on get involved from day one on legacy projects, as well as new design schemes for large scale infrastructure programmes. Our client is looking for candidates who can contribute to all levels of the design process for rail, highways and tunnelling contracts across Europe and the UK, while also learning on the fly to build commercial awareness and knowledge so that you can gain the required experience to progress up the ladder. This role will require a small amount of travel from time to time, visiting client offices and project sites.

To qualify for this role, candidates must have:
  • Right to live and work in the UK
  • A degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or similar
  • Achieved Chartered Engineer status or be close to doing so
  • Experience in Geotechnical Infrastructure projects
  • The ability to work in an Edinburgh or Glasgow office 2/3 days a week
