We have an opportunity for a Senior/Associate Structural Engineer to join our growing civil and structural engineering team in our London studio.

Our aspiration as engineers is to design inspiring buildings in which our engineering ideas help shape design rather than simply facilitate the delivery of an architect-led solution. We aim to design structures with minimum impact on the planet and maximum value for our clients.

This is a technically demanding role and we are ideally looking for creative candidates with an eye for design, as well as being interested in being at the forefront of changes in the industry such as in reducing embodied carbon, parametric design and workflows, offsite fabrication, and modern methods of construction in structural design. For the right candidate we will consider an appointment at Associate grade.

You will play an active role in the creation of buildings and undertake a variety of technical tasks on diverse projects, across a number of sectors that include healthcare, education, sports, retail, sci-tech and workplace.

About you

We are looking for a passionate and dedicated structural engineer with excellent design, technical, and software skills that enjoys working collaboratively in multi-professional design teams. In this role you will be involved with the development of designs and the production of construction information for the delivery of major national and international projects.

You will be a Chartered Senior Structural Engineer with considerable experience within a leading design firm that includes developing structural designs for building structures.

You would ideally also have experience in the concept, scheme and detail design of sports/long span structures in seismic regions, or comparable experience.

You will have good communication skills, be self-organised, have a passion for structural design, enjoy working within a motivated team, and have an enthusiasm for architecture and building design.

You will be able to demonstrate excellent technical aptitude and have experience in use of varied structural design analysis software. Experience of FEA software such as SCIA, GSA, Etabs or Tekla Structural Designer as well proficiency in Grasshopper and Rhino, coupled with knowledge in Python coding would be beneficial.
