Salary: £50,000 - £55,000

Overview

Join one of our client's dynamic teams a leading and innovative environmental solutions company. We are seeking a highly motivated Geo-Environmental Engineer to play a key role in our projects, contributing your expertise to assess and mitigate environmental risks while promoting sustainable solutions.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Geology, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent qualification is required.
• Ideally, possessing an additional degree in Engineering Geology, Geotechnics, Environmental Science, or a comparable field would be advantageous.
• Membership in a suitable professional organization and progress toward achieving Chartered status with a relevant institution (e.g., Geological Society, CIWEM, ICE) is expected.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute field investigations, collecting soil, groundwater, and surface water samples, and conducting geotechnical investigations.
• Analyse and interpret environmental data to assess contamination levels, groundwater flow, and soil properties, and provide recommendations for remediation.
• Soil and rock logging to current geotechnical standards.
• Contribute to the design of remediation systems and assist in the implementation of remediation plans.
• Prepare clear and concise technical reports and documents, summarizing findings, recommendations, and regulatory compliance status.
• Collaborate with clients, regulatory agencies, and project stakeholders to provide technical expertise and guidance.
