Senior Engineer-Civil/ Electrical / infrastructure projects.
Location: estimated two site visits per month to Cardiff + travel ( all costs covered)
The role involvesmanaging the delivery of large systems projects with customers worldwide including project management, customer liaison, training, installation, configuration, and commissioning.
You will be involved in a range of external systems, including but not limited to resilient and redundant mains power provision, site security, civil works (e.g. construction ofcommstowers), land and sea based vehicles and radio systems. Such systems are often deployed in challenging environments prone to extremes of weather and with unforgiving users.
Experience sought
At least 10yearsexperience of specifying, designing, deploying and commissioning field installations in civil/electrical projects.
Experience of IT/telecomsprojects is highly desirable.
Experience of widerdatacentreinfrastructure and network architecture components
Experience in working with real-time sensor equipment focusing on radar and surveillance technologies and their integration to wider systems
Experience of working in challenging locations around the world
Capable of producing high quality documentation and drawings.
Substantial experience of working with third party suppliers to deliver systems and integrating sub-systems into the overall site.
Experience of working in South East Asia and/or the Middle-East is highly desirable.
Ability to effectively manage costs to a strict budget.
Able to operate confidently in front of customers, and sensitive to other cultures.
Able to produce and deliver clear and concise stakeholder reports and presentations.
Willing to travel to globally, regularly and for periods of up to two weeks at a time. ( all costs covered)
A high level of personal organisation and ability to plan and execute work without continuous involvement and supervision from others.
Degree qualified in an engineering discipline or equivalent.
