Senior Geotechnical Systems Engineer
Our client have been at the forefront of designing computer controlled systems to evaluate the mechanical properties of soil and rock for over 40 years and are highly regarded within the geotechnical and earthquake engineering design sector.
The role of a Geotechnical Systems Engineer is a vital customer facing role where the engineer will be an ambassador for the client working in the office and in customer laboratories internationally.
The Role
System assembly and QA testing
Give feedback and suggest improvements on in-house products and systems
Solve issues from a geotechnical perspective with customers and systems via email/phone
Install equipment and provision of any associated training at customer premises
Organise and supervise day-to-day team activities in the absence of Geotechnical lead
Test systems for geotechnical performanceRequirements
Degree in Civil/Geotechnical or similar
Excellent presentation and communication skills
Quickly learn in house softwares
A basic understanding and confidence to work with electronic/electrical components and systems.
Ability to think logically and problem solve software, mechanical and electrical issues Package
To £35,000 per annum
