Geo-Environmental or Geotechnical Engineer - Ground Investigations
Manchester
Salary range: £28,000 to £34,000
This is a fantastic opportunity to further develop your career with one of the leading employers within the GeoEnvironmental and Geotechnical Ground Investigation sectors.
So far in your career, you will already be completing the following tasks, and will have been responsible for
Phase 1 desk studies including site walkovers
Phase 2 Site Investigations (supervising drill rigs, sample collection and trial pits)
Organising testing
Factual report writing
Interpretive report writing
Client LiaisonHowever, you will now be experienced enough to explore the next phase of your professional development. You will be itching to further develop your skill set while learning from more experienced professionals. You will be wondering how you can develop your career to Chartered status and are seeking an employer who can give you greater involvement in the following…
Designing and Managing a range of GeoEnvironmental and Geotechnical ground investigations
More complex Factual and Interpretative report writing
Preparation of H&S plans and RAMS
Preparation of remediation strategies including verification works on site.
Well developed client relationships
Technical leadership, while recognising that you still have a lot to learn
Developing Project Management SkillsAt this stage of your career, with the above skills, you will be ready to deliver fantastic projects while contributing to the growth of the business. These activities are always rewarded well.
You will need
18 months to 3 years relevant experience (especially report writing)
a relevant degree (Civil, Geology, Geotechnical or Earth Science related)
a full drivers licence
a great attitude towards the outdoors, soils and rocks
to be a team playerIn return you
