Our client, a reputable engineering consultancy is seeking to recruit a Graduate Structural Engineer to join their team in Exeter. Your expertise will contribute to the successful completion of architectural schemes by preparing accurate designs and specifications. Projects include refurbishments, new-build commercial and residential schemes, concrete and steel frames, ground improvements and lightweight structures.
Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Civil and structural design work including calculations and drawings
Preparing quotations for prospective projects
Keeping up to date with British Standards, Codes of Practice and Euro Codes
Undertaking analysis and design using a range of software packages including Tekla Structural Designer and AutoCAD.
Ensuring that quality and consistency of technical output (drawings, reports etc.) is maintained.
Assessing existing structures and preparing high quality technical reports including structural surveys.
Skills & Experience Required:
A BSc/BEng/MSc/MEng in Civil/ Structural Engineering
Varied experience in all the common forms of construction and building types.
Experience in the use of Eurocodes.
Excellent report writing, communication and numerical skills required.
Experience of structural analysis design and software essential.
Proficiency in industry related software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Tekla or similar.
