Your new role
This is a varied role that will offer experience across most areas of the consulting engineering business. As the lead design engineer, you will produce designs and strategies in support of planning applications, project managing key accounts as well as preparing design packages for approval, tender and construction.
The ideal candidate will
* Managing your own projects with partial responsibility for the success of the engineering team
* Preparing proposals and having direct client / customer contact
* Leading and delivering infrastructure feasibility studies, option studies, and site development assessments
* Delivering detailed designs and work packages for roads, drainage, earthworks, and utility schemes for a range of public and private clients to time and budget
About you.
We are seeking professionals with the skillset to thrive in a dynamic team. This role would suit someone who has:
* Qualified to degree level or equivalent in Civil Engineering
* Previous highways experience, with capability and knowledge to operate at a senior grade
* Knowledge and use of standard industry design software
* Proven track record in the design, project management and technical delivery of industrial, infrastructure and regeneration projects
* Up to date knowledge of the latest industry legislation and design standards
Ideally you will be
* Incorporated/Chartered Engineer status of a recognised institute/institution
* Proven experience with project management experience of multi-disciplinary teams
* Relevant experience in a Health & Safety, CDM or other specialist discipline
* Extensive expertise in civil engineering design, technical detailing, and specification writing
* Proficiency in utilizing Microdrainage software for the design of subterranean wastewater and above-ground surface water drainage systems
