We are looking to recruit a Civil Engineer to join a reputable engineering consultancy based in Derby. The ideal candidate will work on drainage and highway design schemes for residential and commercial infrastructure projects. You will be responsible for producing design deliverables which include drawings packages, specifications, and technical reports. You will also be required to offer technical guidance to junior team members such as BIM/CAD technicians.
Your responsibilities will include:
Providing technical input into major / minor highway and infrastructure schemes.
Working with colleagues to design residential and infrastructure projects.
Using industry standard design software packages such as Civil 3D and Microdrainage to create detailed plans and drawings.
Execute site-based or head office functions, liaising with the clients and other contractor's staff to collect project specific information as required by the Project Manager.
Ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations.
Providing support to project teams as needed.
Preparing project proposals and reports.
Skills & Experience Required:
Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
Experience working on major highways projects
Autocad, MicroDrainage and Civil 3D software or similar
Knowledge of section 38/S278 Highways agreements
Knowledge of drainage design and Section 104 agreements
Familiar with the relevant design standards.
