Job Description:
We are looking for a Quantity Surveyor with a passion for precision and a keen eye for detail. As a Quantity Surveyor you will play a crucial role in managing costs, budgets, and financial aspects of our civil engineering projects. You will be responsible for ensuring that our projects are completed within budget and meet the highest standards of quality.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare accurate cost estimates for civil engineering projects.
* Monitor project budgets and provide regular cost reports.
* Analyze and negotiate contracts with suppliers and subcontractors.
* Evaluate and manage project risks related to cost.
* Collaborate with the project management team to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
* Review and assess variations and change orders.
* Prepare and submit progress payment claims.
* Conduct cost analysis and cost control measures throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
* Professional membership (e.g., RICS, AACE) is a plus.
* Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the civil engineering industry.
* Strong knowledge of construction contracts and procurement processes.
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Proficiency in relevant software tools, including Excel, cost estimating software, and project management software.
* Effective communication and negotiation skills.
* Detail-oriented and highly organized.
