Project Title: BEP Delivery JV

Job type: Contract (6 months with the potential for this to be extended)

Pay Rates: PAYE - £33.60; Umbrella - £44.17
Project Description
The Box Encapsulation Plant project is one of the most important construction projects at the Sellafield Site, the plant will play a vital role in Sellafield's 100-year clean-up program by taking nuclear waste recovered from the site's original waste plants and encasing it in concrete so it can be stored in a modern building. The plant is primarily designed to deal with waste from the Magnox Swarf Storage Silo, one of four legacy waste plants prioritized for clean-up by Sellafield Ltd's owner, the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority (NDA). Alongside that work, the plant will also receive certain wastes from the other three legacy waste stores, the First Generation Magnox Storage Pond, the Pile Fuel Storage Pond, and Pile Fuel Cladding Silo.
The BEP Joint Venture project will safely design and deliver a Plant and the works in accordance with the requirements of the contract to enable the conditioning of wastes from the various donor plants, carried out in line with the Employer's needs and to the satisfaction of stakeholders in the Box Encapsulation Project (BEP).
Job Description / Role
Set out detailed works as per the contract drawings, ensuring checks are carried out on a regular basis
Ensure that records are accurate and comply with organisational and legal requirements
Resolve any unexpected technical difficulties and other problems that may arise at any time
Produce procurement schedules for the jobs and liaise with the procurement department to ensure site have adequate resources to complete the tasks
Produce ITP's and Task Briefings
Produce 2 week look ahead in conjunction with the Site Agent
Produce Site Diaries and Allocation SheetsHealth, safety & environment
Promote and establish safe working cultures and practices
Comply with company procedures and legal obligations
Promote and comply with environmental compliance
Deliver the works safely and to deadline Quality
Promote best practice
Comply with Company procedures
Ensure work is delivered defect/snag free
Endeavour to spot and highlight value engineering opportunitiesEssential Experience & Qualifications
Desirable
Experience in using AutoCAD and MS Office
Temporary-works co-ordination
CSCS card
Cable avoidance training
First aid training
Confined space training
NEBOSH or IOSHEssential
Previous experience of setting out on civil engineering projects
Sound knowledge of construction methods, health and safety, and legal regulations
Degree/HNC qualified, or equivalent, in civil engineering
Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with both clients and staff
Self-driven and results-oriented with a positive outlookSecurity Clearance: BPSS is required with the ability to obtain a P4 pass
