Salary: £60,000 - £75,000 + 5-6,000 car allowance (£80,000+)

INFRASTRUCTURE - ENVIRONMENT BUSINESS

Our client is the largest Tier 1 Contractor in the UK Water/Environment sector with a portfolio trading £400 million annually. We have consolidated Engineering Design under one Business Unit to provide in-house design support to our Regional Business Units across the UK.

Purpose of the Role:

As a Civils Principal Engineer, you'll be a key member of the Engineering Design Team, working with the Design Team, Design Lead(s), and Technical Manager(s) to ensure high-quality discipline design in compliance with the BMS and CDM Regulations. This technical role requires significant experience in water and wastewater design.

Your responsibilities include ensuring technical compliance, seeking efficient design solutions, and supporting CDM compliance. While not a line management role, you'll promote innovation, value engineering, and digital design.

Key Accountabilities:

Ensure technical compliance and excellence.
Drive efficient designs balancing cost and benefits.
Assist in CDM compliance.
Ensure safe design and procedural governance.
Align with client specifications and standards.
Ensure compliance with Health and Safety and Environmental Legislation.
Promote innovation and value engineering.
Solve technical problems throughout the project life cycle.
Provide pre-contract technical governance.
Champion lessons learned.
Develop discipline-specific processes.
Share knowledge and mentor the design team.
Encourage professional development.
