Our Water consultancy client is seeking 2 Civil Digital Engineering BIM Coordinators to join their UK based offices on a permanent basis.
This role will contribute to successfully delivering projects to budget, to timescales , as well as to standards and according to strategy (DE/BIM).
The Civil Digital Engineering (BIM) Coordinator reports to a Digital Engineering (BIM) Manager and collaborates with all stakeholders cross discipline to achieve 'best for project' outcomes.
Responsibilities
Accountable for the completion of all designated work to programme and budget.
Collaborating as part of the Engineering, Project and BIM/Digital Engineering team to provide the best solution for the client.
To provide accurate Engineering design documentation in accordance with Standards and Procedures to an excellent standard.
You will have a good awareness of HSEQ, including duties under CDM and best professional practice
You will have excellent collaboration skills and the ability to build solid working relationships internally and with key stakeholders
You will be committed to your own Professional and Personal Development, Competency and have an active interest in the Mentoring and Training of more junior members of the design team
Adhere to the BIM/Digital Engineering strategy, workflows, processes, standards, etc. as described by the Digital Engineering (BIM) Manager.
Ensure that more junior members of the team also adhere to the above
BIM Coordination, including clash detection and 4D as minimum
Attend BIM Reviews and coordination meetings as and when needed
Skills/experience
Highly proficient in Autodesk Civil 3D whilst having an understanding of other Autodesk Design Suite software packages. Knowledge of Revit would be an advantage, so would Plant 3D..
Autodesk Civil 3D Capability should include but not be limited to: -
Surface modelling
Pipe Networks
Corridor modelling
Cut and Fill
Profiles
Grading
Experience of Common Data Environments (CDE) and Collaborative
Working Platforms including working and delivering under BIM environments, processes and workflows.
Excellent working knowledge of collaboration and federation platforms, and specifically NavisWorks
Knowledge, interpretation and application of relevant client, industry and BIM/Digital Engineering standards, such as ISO19650
Proven ability to build positive relationships across diverse in-house and external teams and client groups
Assist the Digital Engineering (BIM) Manager as and when necessary (for example, during annual leave) with the team management
Robust verbal skills, with the ability to communicate complex issues concisely
A passion for design and innovation
Project a professional image to clients and colleagues.
Able to work collaboratively to form strong working relationships with colleagues and clients.
Able to recognise own impact on others and adapt approach where appropriate.
Demonstrate integrity.Qualifications
Achieved or working towards an EngTech accreditation
Excellent communication skills - both oral and written.
Team player, cooperative with other staff with open sharing of information and knowledge.
Proactive at identifying improvements and quality of outputs
Excellent knowledge of BIM/Digital Engineering standards, processes and workflows, complete with long experience of working in BIM/Digital Engineering environments and delivering to BIM/Digital Engineering standards
People management experience is desirable, although not necessary
Proven BIM Coordination experience, including up to 4D minimum
Experience in running model reviews and coordination meetings with various stakeholders, including the client, suppliers, internal stakeholders (such as members of the engineering team), etc.
Formal BIM qualifications would be desirable, although not necessary
