Introduction
Astute are partnered with a leading developer of renewable energy in the UK and Ireland. Our partner is currently recruiting for a Construction Manager / Project Manager to join one of the biggest wind energy producers across the world and in the UK. The key responsibility of the role will be to lead the development of onshore wind, solar and battery storage projects from feasibility study to construction phases. This is an excellent opportunity to join an established yet, still growing developer of all kinds of renewable energy projects to assist our transition to a more sustainable power grid.

The successful candidate will have demonstrable experience in the construction phases of wind or solar farms, battery storage systems or a mixture of the three.

Roles & Responsibilities
Reporting to the Head of Engineering, you will be responsible for:
Lead the development of onshore wind, solar and battery storage projects in the UK, from the initial feasibility study stage through to completion of construction.
Establish and maintain relationships with stakeholders such as technical suppliers, land owners, clients, locals and other partners.
Review technical documentation for compliance and specification for each respective project.
Cooperate with the DNOs and National Grid.
Monitoring and managing the permitting efforts, technical project development and project milestones and communicating developments with all stakeholders.
Provide regular weekly/monthly reports to internal and external stakeholders.
Conduct project studies, feasibility assessments, and analyses.
Travel across the UK and overseas for site visits and overseeing construction efforts.

Skills & Qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following:
A demonstrable background in construction management, installation or contract management of renewable energy construction projects such as wind, solar or battery storage.
Degree qualified in an engineering field of study.
Demonstrable experience in planning and coordinating projects, managing contractors and stakeholders.
An understanding of the UK planning regulations and grid connection processes would be advantageous.
Able to lead and delegate responsibilities, working autonomously and as part of a group effort.
Due to hybrid working, the successful candidate must be located/commutable to Edinburgh.
A full UK driving licence is essential - rural locations for site works

Salary & Package

Starting salary up to £65,000 depending on experience
