Senior Geo-Environmental Engineer
Salary: £50,000 - £55,000
Join one of our client's dynamic teams a leading and innovative environmental solutions company. We are seeking a highly motivated Geo-Environmental Engineer to play a key role in our projects, contributing your expertise to assess and mitigate environmental risks while promoting sustainable solutions.
A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Geology, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent qualification is required.
Ideally, possessing an additional degree in Engineering Geology, Geotechnics, Environmental Science, or a comparable field would be advantageous.
Membership in a suitable professional organization and progress toward achieving Chartered status with a relevant institution (e.g., Geological Society, CIWEM, ICE) is expected.Responsibilities
Plan and execute field investigations, collecting soil, groundwater, and surface water samples, and conducting geotechnical investigations.
Analyse and interpret environmental data to assess contamination levels, groundwater flow, and soil properties, and provide recommendations for remediation.
Soil and rock logging to current geotechnical standards.
Contribute to the design of remediation systems and assist in the implementation of remediation plans.
Prepare clear and concise technical reports and documents, summarizing findings, recommendations, and regulatory compliance status.
Collaborate with clients, regulatory agencies, and project stakeholders to provide technical expertise and guidance.
