Civil Engineer
Location: REMOTE with occasional office visits in Durham (approx. 1x a month or less)
Contract Type: 12 months contract
IR35 Status: Inside, Umbrella
Day rate: £600/day
Hours of work: 37 hours per week, 5 days

As part of the Central Technical Organization (CTO), the EDF Renewables Engineering Team plays a crucial role in this journey, providing governance and support for all assets across their lifecycle, from origination to decommissioning.
Role Overview
The Civil Engineer shall deliver services in the Engineering Team, CTO, and wider business, demonstrating an ability to add value to opportunities in a highly competitive and changing marketplace while ensuring appropriate Engineering and Quality standards are maintained.
Key Responsibilities:
Undertaking Civil Engineering activities in a diligent and professional manner.
Working to ensure that Civil and structural activities across EDF Renewables are undertaken in accordance with statutory requirements, and, EDF Renewable policies including Zero Harm, Quality, Engineering, and Design Management policies.
Ensure all Civil Engineering assessments, advice and recommendations are fully documented in accordance with all internal procedures.
Support technical and commercial due diligence (whether internal or external) activities.
Ensure that Civil related lifetime costs are optimised during the origination, design, and construction of EDF Renewable assets.
System engineer for drainage and water supply systemsQualifications and Experience:
Minimum of an Engineering degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline. Chartered membership of an appropriate body would be an advantage.
NEBOSH or IOSH (or equivalent) is desirable.
Highly proficient in key areas of Engineering in the renewables environment.
Specialist in an Civil Engineering discipline within the renewable energy sector.
