Senior Structural Engineer

Think Recruitment are currently working with a leading mutli-discuplinary consultancy who are looking to grow their West Midlands team with the appointment of a Senior Structural Engineer.

Our client have a long pipeline of work and, as such, are looking for someone to play a key role in the design and delivery of their projects from day one, from designing new buildings through to adapting, refurbishing and maintaining existing building structures across leisure, education, residential, commercial, health and retail sectors.

Working with clients ranging from local and national developers and contractors to major private sector companies, the ideal candidate will be strong technically and able to interact and communicate effectively with internal and external design teams, be comfortable working on challenging and multiple projects simultaneously and able to undertake the design of structures within a fast-paced, professional environment.

You should possess a broad range of engineering skills and be able to demonstrate a thorough understanding of current codes of practice both British Standards and Eurocodes working in all the main construction materials, be comfortable undertaking hand calculations and spreadsheets as standard but also be able to demonstrate the ability to use the latest 3D modelling design software packages in both concrete and steelwork, such as Tekla Structural Designer, TEDDS, RAM Structural System and AutoDesk Robot.
