Imagine your role as a Structural Engineer Team Leader - Mission Critical, leading with experience and wisdom. You will be at the helm, growing, developing and leading the Mission Critical Structures team, based in the London office.

Structural Engineer Team Leader - Mission Critical mission? To ensure financial goals are met, satisfy clients, excel in projects, and foster people. You'll breathe life into the team, unearth business prospects to maximise profits, and support the broader business unit. While London may not be your permanent base, expect periodic visits to synergise with your team.

Structural Engineer Team Leader - Mission Critical responsibilities:

Set budgets and ensure key metrics are met, with vigilant alerts for any deviations
Uphold team compliance in recording projects and profit & loss within established procedures
Safeguard the team's financial performance and expertly manage risks to safeguard profit margins
Actively promote our services and explore opportunities, capitalising on them to maximise profitability
Forge strong client relationships for ongoing projects
Collaborate with fellow Team Managers and Technical Directors to share clients and opportunities across disciplines, regions, and specialisations
Cultivate competence within the team through development, coaching, and cross-team coordination

For success in this Structural Engineer Team Leader - Mission Critical role, you will bring:

A degree in structural engineering, complemented by a professional qualification like CEng MIStructE
Profound technical leadership and support for project needs
Proven experience as a project leader in Structural Engineering
A role model, exemplifying core behaviours
Proficiency in client interactions and liaising with project delivery teams
A track record of delivering on high-paced projects as a Structural Engineer
A deep understanding of client projects and experience in the Mission Critical Sector, with expertise in Data Centre or film studio structural design
The ability to influence strategic decisions within the business and make commercial judgements within defined boundaries
Exceptional communication and collaborative skills
Previous leadership qualifications, a bonus but not mandatory
