Energy Masterplanner /District Heating Engineer

An internationally recognised firm socialising in sustainability and renewable energy services for a wide range of public and private sector clients is looking for a District Heating Engineer with Energy Master planning experience. Our mission is to optimise property strategies to align with our clients' business goals and statutory requirements, including achieving Net Zero Carbon.
The Role
Our clients require to make the transition towards Net Zero. We will need to produce energy masterplans, developing extensions and decarbonisation plans for existing energy networks. The role is situated within Building Services team who work on worlds challenging and exciting engineering projects across: Aviation, Commercial Offices, Residential, Blue Light, Education, Transportation and Defence sectors and more.
You will work with designers nationally and internationally and work on both small and city sized solutions.
Key Skills
Technical expertise in energy masterplanning.
Leadership in delivering energy masterplanning projects.
Understanding of sustainable options and approaches for tailored client solutions.
Proficiency in techno-economic modelling of networks.
Heat Network Assessor certification (CP1).
Experience in the development of digital analysis and reporting tools.
Strong collaboration and leadership abilities.
Client-focused with strategic relationship-building skills.
Demonstrated commitment to innovation and best practices.Role Responsibilities
Develop technical expertise in energy masterplanning, contributing to current and future client value.
Lead and deliver energy masterplanning projects, incorporating sustainable options.
Provide leadership in energy masterplanning, district heating infrastructure, and decolonisation design.
Conduct or supervise techno-economic modeling of networks.
Participate in the development of digital analysis and reporting tools.
Act as an ambassador at industry events
Build lasting strategic partnerships with clients, adding significant value to their agenda.
Lead strategic opportunities, ensuring technical excellence and global capability development.
Cultivate strong links with industry bodies, institutions, and academia.
Drive thought leadership, technical best practices, knowledge sharing, and process optimisation.
Present fee and design proposals to clients.
Manage a team in the production of design.
Assist in the development and mentoring of team members.Qualifications and Licenses
Degree qualified in Building Services Engineering or related subject.
Chartered Engineer with CIBSE / IMechE or working towards chartership.
Detailed knowledge of appropriate technical standards.
