We are innovative - and if you are too, we'll have a lot in common...
Are you an accomplished Structural Design Engineer looking for an exciting career opportunity in our Energy Team? We are on the lookout for two individuals who can bring their expertise and enthusiasm to the table to ensure we provide our client with the best value and working design solutions, eradicating technical problems associated with substation design.
The Role:
As a Structural Design Engineer with us, your role will be pivotal in crafting optimized and sustainable design solutions for our Distribution Network Operations (DNO). You'll be entrusted with understanding our clients' needs, defining project scopes, and formulating a comprehensive design philosophy.
Responsibilities include generating specifications, performing calculations, creating reports, and producing detailed drawings for critical projects. You'll also be in charge of managing project schedules, fostering innovation, and championing sustainability while ensuring safety remains a paramount concern.
Here's a glimpse of the tasks that will keep you engaged:
We would love to hear from you, if you can demonstrate….
A strong grasp of engineering principles and a track record of delivering innovative and value-driven solutions. Proficiency in CDM (Construction Design and Management) and solid computer literacy. Exceptional analytical skills and the ability to communicate effectively through sketches, drawings, presentations, and writing.
A relevant engineering degree is a prerequisite, and professional charterships (or progress towards one) through IStructE, ICE, or similar bodies would be a distinct advantage.
Experience in both permanent and temporary works design is also a must.
If you possess these qualifications and are ready to embark on an exciting journey with us, we encourage you to apply.
Our Company

What Next
You apply, and we respond within two weeks (we know how annoying it is not to hear anything back)! If you don't receive feedback within that timescale, please don't be afraid to chase us - one of our values is to do what we say we will do!
Benefits
In addition to helping you reach your career goals, a competitive salary, pension, healthcare and holiday allowance starting at 24 days per annum, we also offer perks including Clancy Xtras, our employee benefits programme with discounts for numerous well-known retailers such as Tesco, Sainsbury's, Currys PC World and Vue Cinemas, cycle to work scheme as well as an Employee Assistance Programme.
Clancy is an equal opportunity employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all our employees. If you require any reasonable adjustments to be made for you to attend an interview, please do let us know and we will be happy to accommodate.
