A reputable engineering consultancy is currently looking to hire a Principal Civil Engineer (Infrastructure) for their expanding team in Nottingham. As the Principal Civil Engineer, your responsibilities will encompass a range of projects, starting from initial stages such as due diligence, master planning support, and scheme viability assessment, and continuing through to the delivery of detailed designs, value engineering, project management, and execution. The project portfolio will primarily consist of infrastructure development and regeneration projects.

- Supervising resources within project capacity including Engineers & Designers.
- Attending and supporting with client meetings & presentations as required.
- Checking and approving own and other staff work, including design proposals.
- Collating plans and schedules and monitoring work to meet deadlines, company quality assurance and other requirements.
- Monitoring project scope and deliverables against budget.
- Preparing technical expert reports and fee proposals.
- Supporting and mentoring junior staff to develop the infrastructure teams skill & capability.
- Providing design delivery advice to clients and project teams.
- Leading on internal and external liaison with key stakeholders.
- Promoting adherence to Health & Safety policy and procedures.
Skills & Experience Required:
- Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
- Chartered (or Incorporated) Engineer or working towards professional qualifications.
- 10+ years experience in design consultancy experience across a range of sectors notably Residential.
- Experience with Section Agreements 278, 38, 185 and 104.
- Fully conversant in the use of software such as AutoCAD, Civil3D, WinDes or their equivalents.
- Hands on approach, with a desire to remain engaged in design and project delivery.
- Willingness to grow a Civils team alongside the Regional Director helping line manage/mentor colleagues.
