Senior Structural Engineer - Warrington - Up to £55,000
We are working with a leading engineering solutions provider focused on safeguarding critical national infrastructure, enhancing operational safety, and preserving the environment for our global clientele within regulated sectors.
What You Will Do:
Acting autonomously as the engineer/consultant for smaller projects or segments of larger and complex projects, while reporting to a supervising Principal Engineer.
Taking responsible charge for assigned tasks within the Company's quality standards, adhering to project budgets and schedules.
Providing guidance to Graduate and Project Level Engineers supporting project execution.
Initiating and maintaining communication with clients and contractors to align technical project requirements.
Timely submission of time charge records, expense reports, and invoice requests following Company procedures.
Collaborating with clients to define project scopes and tasks, as well as resolving technical issues.
Suggesting innovative approaches to encountered problems and proposing method, procedure, or design changes.
Functioning as a team member or project manager as per the required skills and experience for the project.
Drafting technically precise reports, responses to communications, and other relevant documentation.
Working independently within established procedures to fulfill job requirements and other assigned responsibilities.What You Will Need:
Bachelor's or Master's in an appropriate discipline with a minimum of five (5) years' experience as a Project Engineer/Consultant.
Valid authorization to work in the UK.
Experience in designing/assessing steel and concrete elements per international codes and standards.
Familiarity with ABS Health, Safety, Quality, and Environmental Management Systems.
Proficiency in basic computer applications (spreadsheets, word processors, email, technical programs, Internet browsers).
Effective communication of technical aspects orally and in writing to peers, subordinates, and clients.
Ability to direct moderately complex engineering tasks and knowledge of related technical disciplines.
Efficient problem-solving and analytical skills.It Would Be Nice If You Had:
Chartered Engineer Certification or a clear path to achieve it.
