We are currently looking for a Senior Rail Civil Design Engineers to work for a leading engineering contractor within the Derby area within their design consultancy service. You will be predominantly working on Network Rail projects and will be responsible for leading and directing the civil design activity to supplement rail civils projects supplementing electrification schemes such as the Midland Mainline undertaking forms 1-3.

Within the role you will lead and direct allocated design resources in the delivery of conceptual and detailed civil and structural engineering design in which you will undertake the production of plans / drawings / documentation, planning and organizing activities and resources to meet programme deadlines.

Within the position you will carry out Civil designs and checks for Engineering schemes ensuring full compliance with current British and/or Eurocode and working to the relevant Network Rail standards.

Job Requirements

Computer literate and experienced in design software; knowledge of AutoCAD, TEDDS, Pframe / Superstress or similar
Ideally design experience on Rail Civil Engineering, or Rail Structural Engineering schemes
Minimum 5 years Design Engineering Experience
