We are currently dealing with an ever-growing engineering consultancy who are looking to expand their York team by recruiting a Rail Civil Design Engineer working through GRIP 3 - 5. Within the role you'll be required to produce and to assist in the production of detailed designs, drawings, design reports and associated documentation, working under the guidance of the Civils Design Director. Typical job requirements for the Rail Civil Structural Engineer can include, but are not limited to:
Develop civil/ structural designs in accordance with the project specific requirements
Aid in the production of technical reports
Ensure design are compliant with Safe by Design and CDM 2015 regulations
Represent the Discipline Lead at design development and review meetings and workshops.
Undertaking design using analysis and design software packages (such as MIDAS, Superstress and TEDDS)
Experience working within a consultancy environment working on Civil or Structural Engineering projects, ideally within Rail, but not essential.
Ideally an understanding of multi-disciplinary railway design interfaces
Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, BEng or BSc (or equivalent)
Comfortable using analysis and design software packages
Experience of the CDM and other relevant legislation
