Senior Structural Engineer

The need is for you as a Senior Structural Engineer to become responsible for delivering all design work, inspections, and construction site support on a major infrastructure project. This opportunity will allow you to oversee the management of all design implementations and processes, ensuring an overall successful project delivery.

As a Senior Structural Engineer, you will be accountable for the following duties:
You will be delivering design work, inspections, and construction site support on a major infrastructure project.
Concept and feasibility studies for multi discipline design projects
Analysis and design using engineering software such as STAAD, Tekla and TEDDS as well as producing hand calculations.
You will deliver preparations of calculations, CDM activities, basis of design, material specifications, scopes of work, technical reports, inter discipline design coordination and supervision.
You will be assisting and mentoring team members to promote their technical professional development.
Qualifications and Experience:
You will need to be degree qualified BEng/Meng in a Civil/ Structural discipline.
You will need experience in the design of structures in reinforced concrete and steelwork.
Knowledge of seismic design requirements for waste storage/ processing plant
You will have a working knowledge of and use of BIM packages.
You will need experience in preparation of deliverables for early-stage constructability assessments and HAZOPs
You will have knowledge of structural aspects of underground/ above ground service diversions.
