Blueprint Recruitment has a brilliant new opportunity for a passionate Structural Engineer to join a respected, Structural Engineering practice on a long-term contract basis. Working on a hybrid basis, the successful candidate will attend the London office 4 times per week to contribute to efficient Buildings and Infrastructure projects in the UK and overseas.
Our client is a leading, Engineering practice that offers the opportunity to work with committed Engineers and Technicians. They are expanding their dynamic team due to the increasing demand for services in a variety of sectors, including, Architecture, Commercial, Engineering, Bridges, Transport and Leisure.
Key responsibilities:
Design and specify all aspects of Structural works
Effectively manage own time
Have the ability to work independent and in a team
Represent the client on site visits and at design team meetings
Assist the development of apprentice and less experienced staff
Producing design deliverables (including drawings, specifications and reports), site surveys, construction stage duties, client liaison with members of design/construction teams and ensure progress against the project brief
Help maintain a broad range of skills within the team to ensure full support is provided to the design staff
Undertake research, data collection, and presentation of information
Key requirements:
Experience in Bedstead and Staad
Strong communication and presentation skills to support client relationships
Previous experience working on steel projects
Honours degree in structural Engineering or a relevant subject
You will have experience in Calculating and Detailing for Steel/Concrete/Timber/Masonry Structures
Past experience working in Computational Analysis Programs
Chartered Engineer or working towards
Actively been involved in projects from RIBA stage 0/1 - 6
Experience working in a multi-disciplinary team
